Chartreuse
THE COLOR CHARTREUSE
The color chartreuse packs a serious citrusy punch, falling halfway between green and yellow. Considered a zingy green with a yellow tinge, it is a rival to green apple and lime. Chartreuse was introduced as an official color in 1885, named because of its resemblance to the green color of one a French liqueur called green chartreuse, introduced in 1764.
