PURCHASING MERCHANDISE

I welcome both bulk and retail / wholesale orders. Please contact me for prices and details.

I try to provide the best possible images of my merchandise. Please keep in mind colors may vary from monitor to monitor. Variations in surface color are to be expected due to the nature of vintage materials, the natural inclusions characteristic of gemstones and vintage beads which are cut by hand, and the unique quality of personally hand-made items. Pictures and descriptions of all items are as accurate as possible. Please don’t hesitate to contact me prior to your purchase with any questions!

Every item is handcrafted. Your jewelry, handbag or scarf will be an item, just like the photo, that I create for you. The availability of items is indicated on the shopping page. Due to the availability of vintage components, there is an ever changing selection of merchandise on this website. Once items listed as one-of-a-kind, or vintage, have been sold they are no longer available.

If you are looking for a custom item or an item that is out of stock, please email me for details on availablity and lead times. If there is a sold out item you especially like, please let me know as I may have similar items or components available. Please send me an email with the item’s title and item number (if applicable).

Prices are subject to change without notice.

All Massachusetts residents must pay 6.25% sales tax.

GIFTS

I would be happy to ship your purchase directly to a gift recipient for you. Please let me know if you would like a small card included with your personal message.

CUSTOM JEWELRY DESIGN

If you have not found quite what you’re looking for I will work with you to create a piece of custom designed jewelry in my signature style.

All my work is hand fabricated, so there will be minor variations. Note that handcrafted jewelry will include subtle differences, even when a design is reproduced. Please allow for these slight variations, as no two pieces of handmade jewelry can be identical. Please do not hesitate to call or email if you want more information about what these slight differences might be.

Much of my work is one of a kind; however, if you really want a piece of my work that has already sold, I can usually customize a similar piece on request. I do not duplicate jewelry that was previously created as a private commission, but you may inquire about any piece and we can work on a similar, but unique design. If I cannot recreate the piece with a similar stone due to unavailability, I will contact you by email or phone to discuss alternatives. You may cancel your order at that time if my suggestions for alternatives are not acceptable!

To begin the process there is an initial consultation. The purpose is to guide you through the entire design process and thoroughly cover all parameters of the design project, such as design samples, process and time line, color matching and themes, available materials, budget, special considerations, gift packaging, and more. We will discuss your needs and share possible ideas for your jewelry. I will provide pricing information and an estimated time line for completing your custom order. Before beginning any design, I will provide a written quote with all of your order details. Once you approve the project quote, a deposit is required to begin the design work.

If you have a detailed design already drawn, you can send it to me for a quote.

I require a 50% deposit on custom work at the time the order is placed, with the remaining 50% payable upon completion of the piece. I accept payments via PayPal, personal check, or credit card (if you prefer to use your credit card outside of PayPal, please contact me to schedule a payment). The balance is due before delivery.

I accept custom work in order of deposits received. You may assure your place in my schedule with a deposit. I cannot hold a place for you based on verbal/email communication without a deposit.

Most custom jewelry made to order can be completed in a four to six week time frame. Express orders can be discussed at additional cost.

Due to the significant investment of time, materials, and creative energy that goes into each custom piece, the 50% deposit is non-refundable, except in the rare case of product defect or artist error.

Custom jewelry work is guaranteed for 3 years against manufacturing defects, barring misuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents. I will repair it for a reasonable fee if you damage it.

I know that it can be tough ordering custom jewelry online, but there are a few things you can do to ensure a positive outcome. First, ask questions. If there’s anything you aren’t totally clear on during the process, just ask me for clarification. Second, seek out jewelry in person with similar dimensions to what you’re ordering from me; if, for example, you’re thinking about ordering a ring with a 5mm wide x 2mm thick band and a 7mm stone, stop in to a local jewelry shop and try something on that’s about that same size.

If you have any questions or concerns about custom work, please feel free to bring it up for further discussion with me, either by phone or email. My goal is always to have happy customers, and I will do all that I can to ensure a positive outcome.

How do I use the information I collect? When you order, I need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card number, and expiration date. This allows me to process and fulfill your order and to contact you of your order status, for example, through a confirmation notice. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

I am committed to using environmentally friendly resources and processes, and we continuously seek ways to reduce our footprint and to do as much as we are able to improve the world around us.

ABOUT OUR BRASS

I work to ensure that my brass products are both lead & nickel free, including the plating. However due to the nature of vintage materials, some products may include lead.

Our products are not intended for use by small children.

FORMS OF PAYMENT

I accept cash, personal checks (with proper id), and all major credit cards at all events, truck shows and home parties. Payment online is via CDG Commerce. Please note the customer is responsible for any fees charged due to insufficient funds. All credit card transactions are processed through Quantum Gateway.

REPAIRS

We will make repairs due to workmanship, at no cost to the customer, i.e. a clasp or charm comes loose, etc. Please contact me with details of the required repair and I will respond.

Please send single earrings when requesting a replacement, so that the earring can be matched.

Arrangements and terms for repairs of purchased items, where the damage to the item is due to the negligence of the purchaser, are negotiable on an individual basis.

JEWELRY CARE

With time, your brass, copper, and sterling silver jewelry may begin to patina or tarnish. This is normal and in some cases oxidation is intended as the natural evolution of your handmade creation. Metal oxidization is a chemical reaction on the surface of the metal and oxidized jewelry is totally safe to wear and will not color your skin. My oxidized jewelry is typically finished with a polishing wax that will keep it looking like ‘new’ and is intended to keep the patina from getting on your clothing. Do not clean oxidized jewelry with anything but soap and water, or you may expose the metal color underneath. If you do not like the aged look of the patina, it’s easy to clean your metal jewelry with a silver-cleaning cloth or an old toothbrush and some whitening or baking soda toothpaste.

If you wish to keep your metal pieces looking bright, please do not shower or swim wearing your jewelry, especially in chlorinated pools. Store your clean and dry metal jewelry in plastic bags to keep it protected from the air. Do not keep jewelry in areas of high humidity, like the bathroom because the humidity drastically speeds up tarnishing.
