Handcrafted original Sailing Ship jewelry. Inspired by the Norse ship Skidbladner, the ultimate self-sufficient dwelling, crafted by dwarves. Skidbladner could hold all of the Norse gods and goddesses, always found a favorable wind to drive it, and could be folded like cloth and carried in one’s pocket! I learned to sail on lake Coeur d’Alene, in the Idaho Panhandle and remember fondly that moment of freedom when you leave land, the open water ahead, and feel absorbed into the wilderness. Almost every culture has a mythological story of flood, with 150 documented ancient flood myths from all around the world. This universal mythological story symbolizes rebirth, salvation and the hope for a better tomorrow.
