I know, I know ~ its a statement, its sad, its climate change… again. But truthfully, I can’t stop thinking about the creatures that are losing their shells due to ocean acidification and the impact that will eventually make on the entire world. These beautiful abalone shell ‘statement’ earrings, remind me to do my part so the earth will still be a nice place for my kids.
Playful enamel earrings, in the smaller size everyone has been asking for! One of my most popular designs, and yet every one is unique (just like you). Charming and minimalist, a style that you can dress up or down.
These are ‘fold formed’ copper shapes that I created by folding and forging flat copper sheet – so cool! The blue piece was ‘fume’ patinated with salt water and ammonia. The next step is to enamel them.
So this is what I am working on this summer for the enamel collection ~ painterly, colorful jewelry in glass enamel. I have designed a new sterling silver (or gold filled) ear wire and lots of new shapes. More to come!
I hope you will come visit me at FPAC’s Spring Open Studios, Factory 63 at 63 Melcher St.
